Kiva Elementary School is a public school in the United States that offers pre-kindergarten through fifth grade. Situated on a four-acre campus, the school has been educating students for over 50 years and serves as an anchor institution to its neighborhood.
The first thing you should know about Kiva Elementary School is that every student enrolled at this institution receives a free breakfast each day of attendance, which can include cereal, oatmeal, pastries, or fruit cups. In addition to free breakfast for all students, lunch is also offered at no cost once per week per family registration except for those families who can pay for their child’s meals.
The next thing you should know about Kiva Elementary School is that the public school has several resources at its disposal, including technology tools and educational materials. The library alone boasts over 14,000 books in English as well as Spanish with four librarians on staff to assist students looking up information using databases or checking out reading material for home use.
Kiva Elementary also offers an after-school program where adults can volunteer or become employed by the institution to help students learn various skills ranging from ballet lessons to chess club sessions.
Each student learns different subjects depending upon his preferences but he will always have something fun and engaging within which to participate during his time off from academic studies.
The final thing that you should know about Kiva Elementary School is that enrollment for the institution has not always been open to all students without question. Many years ago, the school was restricted by law which allowed only white children to enroll at its facility while black and Hispanic parents were forced to send their kids elsewhere.
